Mostra career rewards
American actor and director actor Sylvester Stallone has been awarded the Gloria Jaeger-LeCoultre for the filmmaker of the 66th International Film Festival Venice, for his contribution and mark on the world of cinema.
Mostra reported today in a statement that Stallone (New York, 1946) known for his role as actor in action films, will receive the award during the closing ceremony of the Venice Film Festival, to be held from 2 to 12 September. "It's an award which recognizes the dimension of filmmaker Sylvester Stallone, who wrote a very original film visibly and tender (even when blood flows)", reads the note of the organizacón.
"Through the already legendary series of Rocky and Rambo movies, films ever extraordinary synchrony with the present that reflect, Stallone has explored the lighter areas and the darkest of the American dream," he adds. Stallone said, in the same statement, their joy for the award and said: "being honored at the Venice Film Festival is something I've always hoped to become reality, and now that has happened I have to say it's well worth the wait."
